1Democratic Governor's Association sent all money to a single Topeka address,
but reports filed with Kansas Ethics Commission were sent from another address:
700 SW Jackson, Suite 706, Topeka 66603

2 In 2005 ALL Kansas Democratic Congressional Committees (Tallgrass, Legislative Victory Fund 1, 2, and 3)  received nearly identical contributions from each of the following Democratic groups, which total $25,000:

  • $5000, Democratic Governor's Association (received 6/10/2005).  As mentioned above, the DGA also sent $15,000 directly to the KDP on the same date.

  • $5000, Carpenter's Distinct Council of KC & Vicinity (11/8/2005)
(in District 3 only:  $4000 on 11/8/2005, $1000 on 5/6/2005).  This group sent $15,000 directly to KDP on the same date.

  • $5000, Heavy Constructors Industry Advancement Fund (10/28/2005).  This group sent $15,000 directly to KDP on the same date.

  • $5000, Midwest Region Laborers' Political League (8/3/2005).  This group sent $15,000 directly to KDP on the same date.

  • $5000, SEIU PEA International (9/20/2005).  This group sent $15,000 directly to KDP on the same date.

In 2005 All Democratic Congressional Committees then forwarded $15,000 (the limit) to the Kansas Democratic Party, PO Box 1914, Topeka.  Some or all of the DGA money was transferred to the KDP.

Coincidence, or careful planning to skirt contribution limits?

$15,000 is the yearly limit for a Person, a Congressional District Party Committee, or a a Recognized Party Committee to a State Party Committee

3The Kansas Democratic Party reported receiving money from "Legislative Victory Fund" with the specified amounts, not "Legislative Victory Fund 3".

If Dr. George Tiller and the Kansas Democratic Party are so proud of abortion money in Kansas politics, why do they go to so much effort to hide what they're doing, year, after year, after year?
