$100,000 Contribution from Kansan in 2002
Paying Dividends for Kansas Democratic Party in 2006?
Salina Journal Blog entry

2006 Details  •  2004 Details  •  2002 Details  •  Summary

If Dr. George Tiller and the Kansas Democratic Party are so proud of abortion money in Kansas politics, why do they go to so much effort to hide what they're doing, year, after year, after year?  Why doesn't Tiller just give money directly to the candidates he supports and the Kansas Democratic Party, and proudly announce that to everyone, instead of going to such extreme lengths to hide what he's doing?  See the details below of the complexity of his actions over the last three election cycles.  This complexity is needed to not only hide what's going on, but because campaign contribution limits do not allow such large direct contributions by an individual.  Contributions to multiple PACs is a way around the contribution limits.

Was Tiller's money to the Democratic Governor's Association in 2002 delayed a few years from returning to Kansas?  What Democratic Governor was Tiller supporting in 2002 with his $100,000 contribution? Why has the Kansas press never found that $100,000 contribution?  Why is the Democratic Governor's Association's 527 only now returning this money to Kansas?

The following facts about political contributions do not prove there was a plan or any collusion by any of these groups, but it provides evidence of their cooperative efforts, especially when so many contributions are given on the same date, often just after the close of a political money reporting period, and with subsequent transfers often made to the Kansas Democratic Party.

Why can one individual and his business play such an important part in Kansas Democratic politics, but the Kansas Press simply ignores this story?
