Note:  When time permits this page will be expanded to contain a political profile of most 2006 "Republicans" for Moore, and how they support mostly Democratic candidates and causes.

Today's Johnson County Sun contained a political ad on p. 2A showing this year's list of "Republicans" for Moore.  This list was not published online (Moore's web site has been almost inactive during the last two months of the campaign).

In late October a "Republicans" for Moore sign was prominently displayed at the Moore for Congress campaign office  at 7852 Quivira, in Lenexa.

Notable Letters to the Editor by Republicans for Moore

Do any of these letters support "Republican" views?
Does this group ever say anything nice about any Republican?

KC Star, 12/16/06:  Kline’s selection causes stir, Lara Hayes, Shawnee, RFM '06,  RFM '04

I’ve been a Republican since I first registered to vote 20 years ago, but for the last several years I’ve become more and more horrified at the company that designation implies I keep.

I keep holding on to the ever-dimming hope that sanity will once again prevail in the Republican Party in general, and locally in the Johnson County Republican Party. Monday night’s selection of Phill Kline as district attorney has convinced me it’s not going to happen any time soon.  ...

After all, November’s election made it clear that the majority of Kansans (including an awful lot of Republicans) don’t think Phill Kline should hold public office.

KC Star, 12/18/06: Not attorney general’s job, Steve Cook, Shawnee, RFM '02, RFM '04, RFM '06

...

Instead, I will follow in Morrison’s footsteps and switch my voter registration to Democrat. That’s the path to ending the reign of these conservative extremists in Johnson County.

Steve Cook
Shawnee

KC Star, 12/21/06Johnson County politics, Jim Quigley, Lenexa, RFM '02, RFM '06.  Quigley gave $1800 to far-left Democrat Howard Dean for President, and $500 to the Kansas Democratic State Committee.

I wonder how many of the writers to The Star who are beating their breasts over the election of Phill Kline to the office of Johnson County district attorney actually took time to vote in an informed manner for their precinct representative in the August primary election.  ...

I'd encourage registered Republicans to telephone their precinct representatives and ask them how they voted.

Jim Quigley
Lenexa

KC Star, 12/23/06:  Didn't vote for Kline, Mary Ca Ralstin, Shawnee, RFM '02, RFM'04, RFM '06; Republicans for Moore Steering Committee '04, '06; $250 to Democratic Dennis Moore for Congress; $50 to Democrat Pete Roman for Kansas Senate 10 (against Nick Jordan), $100 to Nate Hogan (against "mod" Barbara Allen).

Not all of the Republican precinct chairs voted for Phill Kline to replace Paul Morrison as district attorney. Only 25 votes decided that election. My husband and I are precinct chairs, and we did not vote for him.

The No. 1 reason: He is not qualified for the job. The second reason: He does not live in Johnson County (that's a rule that needs tightening up for all parties). The third reason: He was defeated in our precinct by 2 to 1.  ...
