Hillary’s embarrassment is now Kathleen’s embarrassment?

Remember this story from last week?

Hillary Donor Surrenders to California Police

Clinton's campaign announced Wednesday -- after the media reported Hsu's donations -- that the presidential campaign and Senate campaign committees, as well as her political action committee, HillPAC, would give $23,000 of Hsu's direct contributions to charity.

A related posting on Monday, New Hsu Review, on the Suitably Flip blog has an unexpected Kansas connection:

This is a follow-up …  examining the extent of the political contributions made by Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu and several of his associates.  The story first broke last Tuesday, when The Wall Street Journal noted suspicious patterns in Hsu's fundraising; the sums paid by Hsu's associates (some of whom listed Hsu's companies as their employers) seemed in some cases to drastically surpass the individuals' economic means.  The size and timing of the contributions led to suspicions that Hsu may have been reimbursing these fundraising sources for their contributions, which would constitute an illegal circumvention of campaign finance laws.  ...

. . .

Michelle Malkin published similar information on her blog yesterday.

Here’s the entry from p. 301 of Sebelius’ July 2006 contribution report (it's huge:   180 MB).

Note:  The nearby condo, at 445 Fifth Avenue, 31-B, can be purchased for only $599,000.

This news quietly first broke in Kansas as a comment by JMadison to an article by the Lawrence Journal World on Saturday.

"Sebelius was the recipient of a campaign contribution from Norman Hsu, the Democrats bagman version of Jack Abramoff. Hillary gave her 23000 dollar contribution from this individual to charity. What will Sebelius do?"

I couldn't have asked the question better myself.

Yesterday's follow-up on on the Suitably Flip blog compares Jack Abramoff with Norman Hsu.
