Dinner for 6 or 20? Gov. Sebelius sold dinner, photos to highest bidder: Dr. George Tiller

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Gov. Sebelius, George Tiller, ProkanDo Trifecta On Monday Bob Novak, in a Townhall.com commentary “A Vice President for Abortion,” mentioned previously unknown information about Sebelius and Tiller:

Sebelius invited Tiller and his staff to a party at the governor’s mansion … in May 2007.

[Editor’s note: While the overall content of Novak’s piece was accurate, he should have worded some statements more carefully. For example, Tiller and his clinic’s $120,000 contributions to the Democratic Governors Association were in 2002-2004 not 2006, but were not discovered until just prior to the 2006 elections. There were no direct ProKanDo connections to Paul Morrison, but ProKanDo acted indirectly through a non-profit with negative “Snoop Dog” mailings to harm Kline and help Morrison in 2006.]

Today Operation Rescue revealed a number of photographs showing Dr. George Tiller and his staff at a reception with Gov. Kathleen Sebelius at Cedar Crest, the governor’s mansion.

Great Plains Alliance for Clean Energy On Sunday the Great Plains Alliance for Clean Energy (GPACE) and Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius were a political tag team in the Wichita Eagle as they both pushed for a long-term energy policy focused on unreliable sources of energy.

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Second Oops! “an unfortunate mistake … made in the email letter you were sent earlier today from Governor Kathleen Sebelius”

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius Repeated offense from 2006? This morning the Kathleen Sebelius Committee sent out an email with the subject “Our Energy Future.” The email addressed Sebelius’ view of the debate over the coal plants in Western Kansas during this year’s legislative session. Gov. Sebelius did not ask for contributions in words in her letter, but there was a “Contribute” button at the bottom of the email. But, elected officials may not solicit contributions from lobbyists until the legislature adjourns, which is likely next week.

By late afternoon a follow-up email was sent by her Political Director:
