Gov. Kathleen Sebelius recently appointed Trevor Wohlford (R, Lawrence) to be the chief hearing officer for the state Court of Tax Appeals according to the Lawrence Journal-World.
As with many Sebelius appointees, Wohlford contributed to Sebelius’ political campaign.
Trevor Wohlford’s wife, Stacia Wohlford, is the daughter of Sebelius’ former Lt. Gov. John Moore, which explains why she made even more contributions to Sebelius than her husband. Former Lt. Gov. Moore was the chair of the 2006 Sebelius-Parkinson campaign.
According to information from the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission, the Wohlfords gave Sebelius a total of $1000 in seven payments:
