Steve Rose from the Johnson County Sun appeared as a substitute “Ruckette” on KCPT’s Ruckus on Thursday evening. During the “Roast and Toast” segment, Rose said:
“Well, I think I have to congratulate Phill Kline, District Attorney of Johnson County, and his staff for the successful prosecution of Edwin Hall in the Kelsey Smith murder. I’m not a big fan of Phill Kline, and some people will say it was a lay down deal, but he gets credit. He was in charge, and it was successful, and I want to give him credit for that.”
Mike Shanin added: “Magnanimous on your part …” [laughter]
In his Jan 18, 2007 commentary Rose claimed about Kline: “He has, in his own six days, virtually destroyed the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.”
Ruckus will be repeated on Sunday, July 27, at 11:30 AM.
