Kansas Democrats in July 2007 mocked Kansas Republicans for forming a “Loyalty Committee.” The KDP claimed then “Kansans are tired of having their political beliefs questioned,” and then invited the disillusioned to join the Kansas Democratic Party.
The Kansas press had a field day making fun of Republicans over party loyalty, while ignoring long-term Democratic facades such as the “Republicans for Moore” in the Third Congressional District.
But what do Kansas Democrats do when they face a loyalty problem? Democrats don’t bother with a loyalty oath or loyalty committee. Democrats attempt to “take out” any offenders at the polls. So much for “Kansans are tired of having their political beliefs questioned”?
FIVE mailings have been sent to Democratic Party voters in State Senate District 5 to take out incumbent Mark Gilstrap, replacing him with Kelly Kultala. FOUR of the mailings were sent by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and a single mailing was sent out by the candidate herself.

Mailed from Oklahoma (DM Mailing Services)
In an attempt to broaden the turnout of Democrats in Senate 5, the DSCC sent out advance ballot request forms to all Democrats:
Mailing 1
Mailing 2
These two Democratic Party mailings from DM Mailing Services in Edmond, OK. This adds more circumstantial evidence that the Kansas Democratic Party was behind the non-profit, Progress Kansas, which was used to knock out conservative, Republican State Reps in 2006. All those negative mailings in 2006 were mailed from DM Mailing Services.

Mailed from Topeka
Notice the list of endorsements for Kelly Kultala parallels the endorsements of liberal Republicans. Liberal groups like both Democrats and liberal Republicans (often called “moderates”).
Mailing 3
Mailing 4
After the embarrassment and disgraced departure of Democrat Paul Morrison, the KDP is making Phill Kline an issue?
Paid for by Kultala for Senate
Kelly Kulta
Mailing 5
Most of the $8790 raised by Kultala was from a variety of PACs, with only a few contributions from constituents from Senate 5.
UPDATE (8/1): Mailing 6 [from Oklahoma, DM Mailing Services]

How many Republican campaign Meadowlark have you got paid to work for?
If we take Meadowlark’s reasoning he’s paid to take orders from these candidates and paid to print up absurd conspiracy theories.
EDITOR’S NOTE: sasnak, the Meadowlark is not paid for any content published here. The Meadowlark makes no endorsements, and for now, doesn’t even have ads.
I cited facts about the Democrats making fun of Republicans over “loyalty” and showed how the Democrats were a bit hypocritical in how they’re treating Senator Gilstrap. You cite no facts. I don’t see your logic. You ignore the subject of the posting. Your insults are not welcome.
Your disrespectful comments are not welcome here and will be deleted in the future. Cite facts and sources, apply logic to the article posted, and be pithy with your opinion. PLEASE quit using a Kansas government computer during the work day to make your postings.
pretty informative insights and I liked seeing the actual mailouts being used as examples. Republicans are accused of an awful lot but Democrats are ruthless in suppressing dissent in their party. No Big Tent with the Dems anymore with a national spotlight on Sebelius. Give them credit for becoming VERY skilled in using the media and all the expensive multi-color mailouts. Surprises me how good they can make someone sound that really hasn’t done that much– probably will turn quite a few Democrat votes for them.
