Late political money reports are new this year in Kansas. “Normal” PAC contribution and expenditure reports were due on Oct 27, but certain large contributions and expenditures made by PACs since Oct 23 are now reported online at the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission web site.

One battle being waged through late money is between Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’ Bluestem Fund PAC, and the Kansas Chamber’s PAC.

Sebelius’ PAC spent over $50,000 in late money so far to help unknown candidates through “non express advocacy contact services.” The Kansas Republican Party put a new website online yesterday, www.kansasfactcheck.org, to dispute claims made by Sebelius’ Bluestem Fund PAC.

The Kansas Chamber spent just under $50,000 to help particular Senate and House candidates. Its’ very likely the candidates helped by the Chamber are opposed by Sebelius’ PAC.

Below see a Summary of General Late Filing Reports, as well as a detailed summary of expenditures and large contributions.
