Kansas City "Tea Party" at Plaza
Today in 22-degrees and blowing snow, about 220 brave liberty-minded, free-market patriots met near the Nichols Fountain in Kansas City Missouri for a rally and mile-long march to U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill’s office.
Citizens are frustrated by the huge debt created by the federal government with the recently passed “stimulus” bill, and the amount of “pork” and wasted expenditures. People want the government to live within its means just like every family must do. Citizens resent the unfairness of rewarding those who have failed, when those rewards are paid for by hard-working citizens.

FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act) Protest
While most of the protesters focused on anti-stimulus, anti-pork messages, at least one protested the possible FOCA bill that could be considered in Congress in the near future. FOCA would remove many restrictions on abortions.

Minutes before the 10:00 AM “Tea Party” a group of Catholics from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church met at the same location to protest FOCA via a “Rosary Rally Against FOCA.”

In November Catholic bishops urged a huge anti-FOCA Campaign to stop abortion expansion since it could result in the closing of Catholic hospitals.
