Leawood Tea Party: 95th & Mission Road

Clint Anderson sent out an E-mail, “Conservatives, Stand Up!”, to about 30 of his friends about a fourth weekly “Tea Party” in the greater Kansas City area. The word spread from that E-mail for today’s event.

Anderson planned his Tea Party to be at the intersection of 95th Street & Mission Rd in Leawood, and about 110 showed up today. Many brought their home made signs.

This Tea Party followed the previous ones in Olathe, the Plaza, and Overland Park.

Part of what Anderson said in his “invitation”:

What to do:  Cheer for freedom and protest liberal socialism!  Bring a handmade sign …!  Bring your kids!  Bring an American flag!

Spirit:  Pro-America, respectful disagreement with the expansion of Obama’s socialiam and the “bailout economy”

Signs:  Use posterboard and large markers.  Need to be short & pithy.
