Kansas Attorney General Steve Six will host regional workshops in June to train interested citizens on the Kansas Open Records Act (KORA) and the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA).
A flyer on the AG’s web site suggests these free regional training workshops might benefit elected officials, appointed officials, staff for state and local units of government, members of the media, and the general public:
The Attorney General’s Office will provide detailed training on both KORA and KOMA, as well a panel discussion including individuals from the media, public and legal areas. The training will be available free to the public, media, and public employees.
These free workshops will be held June 23-26 at the following locations:
- 6/23 Dodge City Community College, Dodge City
- 6/24 Johnson County Administration Bldg, Olathe
- 6/25 Kansas Attorney General’s Office Auditorium, Topeka
- 6/26 City Hall, Wichita
The AG’s web site says space is limited and encourages early registration since reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
