Steve Kraske in today’s Kansas City Star wrote about “Tiahrt takes on Moran for comments about Tiahrt’s family“.
Congressman Todd Tiahrt made these comments as part of Kansas Day activities in Topeka on Saturday. Here is a video of Tiahrt’s remarks:
Congressman Jerry Moran addressed other meetings on Friday and Saturday but did not attend the state party meeting on Saturday because of a hoarse voice.

I saw Congressman Moran speak and truly he did no such thing as attack Congressman Tiahrt’s family. He merely made the statement that he would not be moving his own family out of state. Unfortunately, the fact is that the Tiahrt family moved to Virginia a long time ago. It is petty to make this into such a big deal.
