The tragic shooting of Dr. George Tiller in Wichita yesterday still shocks and saddens everyone.
Everyone can agree with President Obama’s statement: “However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.”

There is sad and shocking news today from Wichita that Dr. George Tiller was murdered in his church.
This is sickening and appalling and does not reflect the many embracing the Culture of Life who looked for peaceful, legal and political means to oppose abortion. This vigilante action must be condemned by all.
The April 2009 ProVote News, the newsletter of the Missouri Progressive Vote Coalition, announced that Julie Burkhart was their new Executive Director.
Kansas newspaper reports as recently as late March quoted Ms. Burkhart as the Executive Director of the ProKanDo PAC, but an April 16 Wichita Eagle article quoted “ProKanDo’s former executive director, Jule Burkhart.”
